After many years without adding a new product line, in early 2013 Spinreact started to study the possibility of implementing haematology. Here we saw a line that could complement our offering and allow our distributors to simplify their logistics by acquiring both the colorimetric and turbidimetric reagents and haematology from the same supplier.
In the following years, the project started to gain importance and towards the end of 2016 we already knew which path we had to follow. A 3-population analyser was launched, the Spincell 3, and another for 5 populations, Spincell 5. We also opted for a strategy that Spinreact had never tried before. For the first time, the company would manufacture an instrument. This means subcontracting this activity, but also setting quality standards that would satisfy the expectations of our customers. In mid 2017 we received all the authorisations and for the first time in our history, an instrument made by Spinreact left our facilities on its way to a laboratory.
As forecast, upon reaching this point in the project, sales started to climb quickly and before 2019 was over the numbers comfortably exceeded 1000 analysers. This means that over 1000 laboratories around the world had placed their trust in us. From this moment, every day dozens of people would be better informed about their health thanks to a Spinreact haematology analyser.
Over time, the line has evolved and to date we have added the Spincell 5plus and Spincell 5compact haematology analysers to our offering.
Every year, training and commercial events based on Spinreact haematology take place around the world. We regularly offer training in the Middle East, Central America, Africa, and of course at our own facilities. If you are interested in finding out more, we would be happy to inform you.
